Kings of Leon Tickets – Kings of Leon Begin Recording Follow-Up to 2008′s ‘Only By the Night’

There is more good news for fans of Southern rock band Kings of Leon, as the quartet followed their mid-March announcement of a summer amphitheater tour with news that they are recording their fifth album, the follow-up to 2008′s Only By the Night, one month later. On April 12, The Silver Tongue reported that KOL drummer Nathan Followill announced the news via Twitter, saying, “Day 1 in the studio is official under way. I’m beaming with excitement and a hangover at the same time. [We] put down some jams that I think you all will like.” The as-yet-untitled forthcoming album has a tough act to follow, as its six million-selling predecessor awarded Kings of Leon three Grammys, including the coveted Album of the Year honor.

So what can fans expect from Kings of Leon’s new album? Last August, Followill told music magazine Spin, “The new stuff is all over the place. There’s stuff that sounds like Radiohead. There’s stuff that sounds like Thin Lizzy. There’s stuff that sounds like the Band. We’re pretty much to the point now where â?¦ [we can] try stuff we would’ve been scared to death to try on the first couple of records.” Rather than speculate on what the new KOL album will sound like, pick up some Kings of Leon tickets from StubHub.com to hear the Tennessee-bred band perform new tracks live this summer.
