The season finale of The Wanda Skyes Show, Skyes’ hour-long program on the Fox network, aired on April 24, but the female stand-up comic has yet to find out whether her show will be picked up for a second season. The late-night talk show featured the likes of Chris Rock, Ray Romano, Lisa Kudrow and Erykah Badu in its first season, but Entertainment Weekly reports that NBC’s long-running Saturday Night Live served as some stiff competition for The Wanda Sykes Show. Skyes’ show airs on Saturdays, and since Fox lost its bid for Conan O’Brien (who inked a deal with TBS) she is the only late-night presence on the network, which is definitely in her favor.

Rodney Carrington Tickets – Rodney Carrington Hits the Road Hard in 2010
Many artists tend to slow their touring pace once they’ve been in show business for awhile, but after 20 years delivering his comedy-meets-country-blues routine, Rodney Carrington is only picking up his pace! Carrington is currently on tour and will remain on the road-stopping in cities scattered across the U.S. and Canada like Sault Ste Marie, Mich.; North Bay, Ontario; Omaha, Neb.; Ottawa, Ontario and Atlantic City, N.J.-through August. For your pair of Rodney Carrington tickets, head to StubHub.com.
Rodney Carrington first began making the rounds on the standup circuit in the 1990s, and the Longview, Texas native released his major-label debut album, Hangin’ with Rodney, in 1998. Hangin’ with Rodney spawned hilarious hit tracks like “Letter to My Penis” and “Fred” and managed to sell 475,000 copies-not bad for his first try! Carrington continued his rise to fame in the comedy world with the release of a live album and the wildly popular album Morning Wood. Carrington has continued to churn out hit albums, such as 2003′s Nut Sac (which peaked at No. 14 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart) and 2007′s King of the Mountains (which peaked at No. 15 on the same Billboard chart) while straddling the worlds of country and comedy.
