Kenwood House Picnic Concerts Series starring several artists. Kenwood has been a unique fixture in the London summer concert calendar for over 55 years. In 2007 a decision was made to cancel the event due to a change in licensing conditions that meant the concerts were no longer financially viable.

It was donated to the nation by Lord Iveagh, a member of the Guinness family, when he died in 1927, and opened to the public in 1928. He had bought the house from the Mansfield family in 1925. Unfortunately the furnishing had already been sold by then, so the house is largely empty. Some furniture has since been added. The paintings are from Iveagh’s collection. Part of the grounds were bought by the Kenwood Preservation Council in 1922, after there had been threats that it would be sold for building. In the late 1990s the house received approximately 150,000 visitors a year and an estimated 1 million people visited the grounds each year.

Booking a Holiday, Tour or Vacation in Morocco

Booking a Holiday, Tour or Vacation in Morocco

In my capacity as the UK Director of Operations for One World Tours Limited, I am often asked about the destinations I have been to. I try to give a good opinion on those places and offer some helpful advice. Here then, are my top suggestions for sites to take in during your holiday in Morocco.

Morocco is located at the northwest of Africa and is bordered in the north by the strait of Gibraltar and the Mediterranean sea. The weather in Morocco is mainly of a is Mediterranean nature. The Atlantic ocean keeps the west and the north of the country more temperate.

The weather varies greatly the further into the country that you travel for example the Atlas area of Morocco is very humid, whilst in the south it is more of a desert feel.

North Portugal Golf and Regional Holiday Tour ….. We Will Return ….. a 12 Day Holiday Journal, Following our First Hand Experiences

North Portugal Golf and Regional Holiday Tour ….. We Will Return ….. a 12 Day Holiday Journal, Following our First Hand Experiences

Introduction:-

Last year was our first trip to Porto via a week’s cruise down the Douro River, brilliantly organised by PortGolf. At the end of that week, Peter Evens, who runs PortGolf, suggested we should return for the festival of S. Joao and perhaps play some golf. This seemed a good idea so on our return to the UK we organised a dinner for two other couples, one of whom (Gerry and Catriona) had played golf around Porto and Jim and Margery. We discussed the idea and it was agreed that eight would be a good number. Shortly after we had supper with another couple, John and Marion who volunteered to join us. None of us had ever holidayed together before so it would be a test of friendship. Due to other commitments Gerry and Catriona and John and Marion would stay for a week whilst we and Jim and Margery would stay for twelve days.

Michael Jackson “This Is It” O2 Concert Tour

Michael Jackson, the self made King of Pop has said that he is finally hanging up his glove and will play the O2 for the last time. This new show called “This is It” will be Michael Jackson’s master piece. He has promised to play all of his old hits that all his fans want to hear. That includes classics like Billie Jean, Thriller, Beat It and Smooth Criminal. Critiques were concerned because during previous concerts he did not perform the hits that made him famous. Instead he chose to play his newer songs. They were fine but fans wanted to hear the oldie and goodies. To squash the critiques Michael Jackson has guaranteed that he would perform his old hit and produced the list to reassure this would be the truth.

I don’t know about you have to tell you this show has been a long time coming. It has been around 12 years since he played a concert like this one. Ever since his acquittal he has shyed away from the camera and decided to live a more relative life away from the camera. But I have to tell you that his fans have been in Michael Jackson shock waiting for the next fix. The crack of his show has left his fans shacking in their boots and now is there chance to see one of the most anticipated shows to hit the music circuit in decades.
